Spanish Majors

As an admitted Spanish major, you will be scheduled into a Spanish course in your fall quarter.  You will need to take the Spanish Placement Test during SLO Days unless you have Advanced Placement credit.  Please review the following information very carefully so that you are placed into the appropriate Spanish course based on your previous experience.

If you passed the AP Spanish Language exam with a score of 3, please select SPAN 202.  If you earned a score of 4, please select SPAN 203.  If you earned a score of 5, please select SPAN 207 or SPAN 233.

 

If you passed the AP Spanish Literature exam with a score of 3, please select SPAN 203.  If you earned a score of 4, please select SPAN 207 or SPAN 233.  If you earned a score of 5, please select SPAN 207.

If you did not take any AP Spanish, please select a course based on the following guidelines:

If you took 4 years of high school Spanish, please select SPAN 202. 

If you took 3 years of high school Spanish, please select SPAN 201. 

If you took 2 years of high school Spanish, please select SPAN 103. 

If you took 1 year of high school Spanish, please select SPAN 102.
