MLL Senior Helps Raise Heart Health Awareness in Argentina
MLL alum, Daniel Brosnahan (2014) was on an internship in Argentina working for Corazonada, a service organization that educates people of all ages about heart health.
"Our goal at Corazonada is to educate people so that they can learn to have a healthy heart. We have numerous campaigns, one of which is called Cien mil resucitadores, the aim of which is to train people in CPR. Other campaigns include orchestrating the donation of AEDs, as well as providing free heart check ups for soccer teams that couldn't afford them otherwise."
View a video of a presentation Daniel made in Spanish, while working for Corazonada, in Argentina.
"In the video, I am telling the class about Cien mil resucitadores and encouraging them to sign up for the course. Afterwards, I demonstrate to them the proper way to take their pulse, (Conoce tu pulso is another one of our campaigns), and I explain why it is important (to be able to detect heart arrhythmias or other cardiological issues that require medical attention)."
We congratulate Danny for his great work and encourage current students to contact him to learn more about how he found this internship.
