Modern Languages Student Attends National Mortar Board Conference

Modern languages major Nicole Beaudoin attended the National Mortar Board Conference August 2-4, in Atlanta, Ga.
Mortar Board is a select national honor society that promotes opportunities for its members, including leadership development, service to members’ college/university and contributions to the global community. Beaudoin was nominated by the Modern Languages and Literatures Department and selected to represent Cal Poly as a member of the honor society at the national conference.
At the conference, Beaudoin was able to attend seminars on various topics, including interpersonal relationships, leadership, the behavioral interview process and motivational training; tour the World of Coca Cola; and network with students from across the nation. Additionally, Beaudoin participated in the Mortar Board Choir, which performed at the conference banquet.
Beaudoin returned from the conference excited and thankful for the opportunities she experienced. “I had a really great time at the Mortar Board National Conference. This conference was one of the highlights of my college career.”
