About:

 
René Carrasco is Assistant Professor of Spanish in the World Languages and Cultures Department at California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. His research focuses on areas such as Latinx & Chicanx Studies, Latin American Literature & History, Mexican Literary & Cultural Studies, Native American & Indigenous Studies, Colonial Studies, and Literary Theory and Criticism.
 

He is the author of Grammar of Redemption: Logics and Paradoxes of Indigenista Discourse in México (University of New Mexico Press, forthcoming). Additionally, his work has appeared in journals such as Revista Iberoamericana, A Contracorriente, and Revista de Crítica Literaria Latinoamericana.
