Dia De los Muertos at the WLC
Día de los Muertos is a holiday celebrated from November 1st to November 2nd to honor and remember our loved ones who have passed away. A key tradition is setting up an ofrenda (altar) in their memory. The ofrenda is decorated with a photo of the loved one, cempasúchil (Marigolds), and foods or items that they used to enjoy.
Día de Muertos is a time to celebrate the lives of those who are no longer with us not with sadness, but with love, color, and joy. It is a sweet reminder that when we remember our loved ones they are never truly gone.
The World Language and Cultures department set up their own ofrenda and added photos of their loved ones.
